What is a Barrier Mat?

Barrier Mat 5kg Vinyl Loaded is designed to add mass to floors, walls and ceilings to improve airborne performance in only 2mm. 

Dimensions:  2m x 1.2m x 2mm (5kg/m²)

The team at SIS say:  This is a vinyl sound barrier mat loaded with naturally occurring minerals. The product is free of lead, unrefined aromatic oils and bitumen. Designed to improve the sound insulation of existing panels of metal, wood, plastic etc., at all frequencies. 

Barrier Mat 5kg is a versatile Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) material used for sound insulation on floors, walls, and ceilings. With its shallow build up, it adds a high level of mass and can be easily installed between plasterboards or suspended as a 'curtain' above partitions. Perfect for both residential and commercial use.
